Development:  Coco Plum

The Coco Plum residential development is located north of Seine Bight Village and includes:
  • 4.2 kilometers of feeder roads

  • 2 canal networks, each with independent access points on the Placencia Lagoon

  • Non-navigable Lagoon complex on the eastern side of development

  • 10 acre park on the northwestern corner of the site bordering the Placencia Lagoon

  • 5-room dormitory on approximately 5 acres

  • 110 single family residential lots of approximately .5 acres each (56.5 acres)

The Belize Department of the Environment (DOE) also approved a 100 unit condominum development (now known as Villas at Coco Plum) and a 48 suite boutique hotel on approximately 13 acres of land. The boutique hotel will include plunge and swimming pools, fitness center, two tennis courts, a spa, four treatment rooms, sports facility 200 foot pier, parking area and beach palapa.

DOE approval for the Coco Plum development was granted on 28 November 2005.

The residential subdivision has been dredged and filled, roads completed, and water and electricity installed. One of the condo buildings has been built, and the construction of the boutique hotel should start in late 2010/early 2011.
